Habitat and Hurricane Matthew

This blog has been very quiet this year, and that's not because we haven't had anything to blog about! Quite the opposite actually! A lot has been going on this year with JerFilm from premiering our second feature film, to new clients and new opportunities. We've been so busy we just haven't had time to blog about all the cool things we've been doing! So over Christmas break I will be updating the blog with some cool projects we have been working on.

To start, Fayetteville was hit hard this year by Hurricane Matthew. It came as a surprise and caused a lot of destruction. So many areas flooded, roads were washed away, homes destroyed and people left with absolutely nothing. These things pale in comparison to the ones who lost their lives.

We were in the middle of finishing a video project for the Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity when Matthew struck. They asked us to quickly shift gears and turn the video in to a disaster relief project. So, we grabbed our gear and headed out to the "Habitat neighborhood". This entire neighborhood was made up of homes built by Habitat. Homes that house families that have been working hard for decades to pay off their mortgage and call it their own. But then Matthew showed up and destroyed everything.

So many Habitat families were left with absolutely nothing. They lost all their possessions and had so much damage to their home that it was no longer livable.

Enter, Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity!

Habitat quickly stepped in to support their families. Recovery and relief work began almost instantaneously. We captured a little bit of that action in the video below. There's still so much work to be done and money to be raised! Please consider donating to the Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity to help!

JerFilm, welcome to the 21st century!

We have finally joined the 21st century with an all new and improved website! We hope you like it and find it easier to navigate and discover all the fun thing JerFilm is doing!

We ended last year on a big note by wrapping principle photography on our second feature length film, Restoration. Now we're entering 2016 in post production for Restoration and several other films on the slate and going in to development!

God has richly blessed us and I believe we have an incredible year ahead of us, so keep watch here for many more exciting things to come!
